Post any links you find helpful to recovery- aimed at both people with eating disorders, and those who want to help them.

tons of resources for eating disorders - certainly not just bulimia - and a section for finding therapy, group support or a treatment centre near you (US). And lots and lots of worksheets, leaflets, articles, links...

OK, for the UK people, we have the beat website, www.b-eat.co.uk , and its Welsh counterpart, beat Cymru, http://www.b-eat.co.uk/beat-cymru/
Beat helps those with eating disorders as well as those who know others with eating disorders

This post discusses how to approach someone who you think may have an eating disorder in a gentle and forgiving way. It's from the woman's research centre at Boston College

My friend runs the Brighton Anxiety Forum. If anyone in the area is interested, there are weekly meets. There is also the forum, which isn't amazingly active at the moment, but it's got some good stuff there and if you're suffering from anxiety of any form it's good to know there are others who feel the same. Here's the link: http://brightonanxietyforum.com/

Hey all
Two sites I regularly refer to for now - plenty more later!

One for the kiwis  , EDEN provides great services in Auckland:
www.eden.org.nz
A site for those of us who like to know about research :ugeek: :
http://www.psychotherapybrownbag.com/psychotherapy_brown_bag_a/eating-disorders/
And one with a list of personalised blogs down the lefthand side which I find don't trigger me too much:
http://www.psychologytoday.com/topics/eating-disorders

Go the recovery boat!

We Bite Back - A recovery website and forum that was born out of the strength and desire of woman who finally had enough of the 'pro ana' world and decided to recover.

Many of the creators of the Recovery Boat, (as well as ideas and threads) began and continued their own recovery journeys within We Bite Back.

Something fishy :fish: is a really well established eating disorder recovery site with a very large forum. They've got some really helpful information on there as well as a very well protected (although censored so it depends on what is good for you and your recovery- you won't find any numbers there at all) forum.
I got the original inspiration for Land Ahoy (Advanced Recovery) from there and they're just a site well worth checking out to get a different take on things if nothing else.

Another shout out to a site that revolutionised the way I approached recovery and the way I looked at food and judged how much was enough... The Joy Project has an absoloute treasure trove of information on it including a bunch of sample meal plans and information on saiety and portion/exchange sizes. It's well worth checking out:

Amazing Australian organisation who are proactive in fundraising and providing support for families and sufferers. They have some good resources on the site and numbers you can call for assistance.

just watched an article on a current affairs show here about exercise obsession and how it can lead to us woman losing our periods and potential becoming infertile. i was pleased that they highlighted that it isnt just athletes that are affected but any woman who is exercising without enough fuel!

they talked about a website that has been started here and ive had a look at think it is pretty good!
